A great post from a Right To Life organization.
Facts about a baby’s development:
At the moment of conception, when a zygote is formed by the unision of a sperm cell and an egg, that zygote has its own unique DNA and all of its genetic makeup and future characteristics are there. That is a new being, not part of a “woman’s own body”. By 18 days, a fetus has a beating heart. By 6-7 weeks, a fetus has electrical brain activity going on. At 7.5 weeks, a fetus responds to stimuli (it touches and has the sense of feel). A baby has all body systems fully formed by week 8. By 9 weeks a fetus can squint, swallow, move their tongue, and make a fist. By 10.5 weeks when the mouth region is touched, a fetus will move their head in response. By 11 weeks, there are spontaneous breathing movements, fingernails, and ALL of the body systems are fully functioning.

Moment of conception? No, sorry.
After the sperm enters the oocyte, it still needs to have it’s membranes dissolved so the DNA it’s carrying can actually unite with the oocyte’s. This does not happen at conception, it happens hours (sometimes days) after.
Why did I even bother to explain that? Someone who says “By 18 days, a fetus has a beating heart” clearly rarely, if ever, picks up a biology book or bothers to research anything.
