I’ve covered this before, and I’ll cover it again.
Wow. Just freakin’ wow.
The first chunk of this video is very educational about Hitler, Germany during his reign, and Hitler’s motives, including the Holocaust. If you want a brief morality check on Hitler, feel free to watch up to about the 13 minute mark, because that’s the only credit I can give to this video.
Let me recap it for the people who don’t want to watch this video, and I sure as hey don’t blame you if you don’t.
It’s starring Ray Comfort. Yes, Ray Comfort. He’s going around interviewing people on the street about various topics. It starts with him asking people what they know about Hitler and the Holocaust.
Given that it’s Ray Comfort, he of course is taking the route of emotionally manipulating people into making them feel bad about abortion by educating people about the Holocaust, having them admit to valuing the human lives lost, only to then flip the conversation against them by saying an embryo is a person and deserves as much life as the people who lost their lives during Hitler’s Reign.
He makes people feel bad from a religious standpoint by saying God frowns upon “murder,” claiming, of course, that abortion is murder.
What the heck, Ray! You’re comparing the slaughtering of millions of people, not just Jewish people, but also Russians, homosexuals, Christians, people with disabilities, and anyone who defied Hitler in any way, to a medical procedure.
We’re talking about killing entire families by burying them alive and letting them die in terrible pain by suffocation. We’re talking about flocks and flocks of people being crammed into gas chambers only to face a gruesome end as they choke to death on their own blood. We’re talking about situations where mothers were shot in front of their own children, who they themselves were then shot and killed as they sobbed over their mother’s body. You’re comparing mass, painful, unethical homicide to ending and unwanted pregnancy. And it’s beyond offensive.
One of the things he asks the people that really seems to get to them:
“Finish this sentence: it’s okay to kill a child in the womb if…”
Hey Ray Comfort: IT’S NOT A CHILD IF IT’S IN THE WOMB.
You’re trying to lead people into an incorrect statement, which is why no one can come up with an answer to it.
It’s a baby or infant once it’s born. An embryo is not sentient, autonomous, autonomic, established, capable of feeling of feeling pain, or capable of feeling emotion. An embryo is not born either, and it’s not a person. To compare the death of millions of established, born, thinking, feeling, sentient people to ending an unwanted pregnancy is utterly deplorable.
AND TO TOP IT OFF:
The ending part of the video is Ray shaming the people he’s been interviewing regarding the afterlife by having them admit to “sins,” including abortion and masturbating. He told them all, very politely, that they’re going to hell for their actions, and their only choice now is to repent and become a religious drone. And it’s gross.
He also goes on to say that people who don’t believe in god do so because they’re sinner and don’t want to admit it or face god’s judgement. Naw, atheism has nothing to do with logic, reason, or believing things based on evidence instead of faith, right Ray?
”The American Holocaust known as abortion,” he says.
That’s a disgusting comparison, Ray. And it only solidifies my view that religious people have no problem emotionally manipulating people into following their amoral life book known as “The Bible.”
