This is laughable. It’s like they’re not even trying anymore.
I seen this bumper sticker a few months ago too! It’s pretty bad-good.
Implying pro-choice means choose abortion, as well as implying that Christmas would be lacking if there was no Christ is always high-quality material for a good chuckle.

I think there was no body parts involved. I guess magic is what got Mary pregnant? Or else she was just covering up an affair.
Like I said, the bible has a terrible plot. I rate it 2/10, and that’s being generous.
The Bible makes me uncomfortable.
Then he sacrificed himself to himself to sway himself into letting himself forgive all of the sin on the Earth. Grand.

Hey Crafty Christian Mamma, I thought hate was a mortal sin in your religion? 1 John 3:15.

Me saying “to be labeled as christian the only prerequisite is to believe in Jesus Christ as your ‘Savior’” is not telling “Christians how to be Christian,” and I’m honestly baffled where people are getting this conclusion from.
Are some believers that defensive (and seemingly insecure) regarding their faith to the point where an Atheist like myself, who used to be a Christian, btw, cannot say the word “Christian” without them getting upset?
Because I find it kind of comical.
kfadich said: The idea of “real” Christians is a huge part of the problem with Christianity. Christ really only needed you to accept him as your savior. The elitism that “real” vs. unreal creates is pretty much the opposite of his teachings. (Raised by a preacher)
Couldn’t have said it better myself.
I kind of disagree.
I don’t know how people can label themselves Christians if they ignore entire sections of the bible because it doesn’t quite jive with their current way of living - but then attack other people for ignoring little tiny and possible ambiguous parts.
How can somebody be a “real” anything if they don’t follow half the criteria that was laid out for them?
I just don’t understand :/
Like I said previously: the only prerequisite for being able to be described as “Christian” is to believe in Jesus Christ. The rest of the Bible is irrelevant to the label “Christian” so long as the big J-man is held deep in your heart.
If you’re not a Christian:
Just listen.
What do you have to gain by living life alone?
God loves you.
He just wants you to accept His forgiveness.
We’re not going to see Judgement Day coming, and after that it’s eternal death or eternal life.
I want you to have life. Please just think about it.
If you have any questions, my ask is open
Has anyone ever had a time when you and your older brother are supposed to share the last cookie, but first he puts you in a headlock and gives you knuckle-noogies until you choke out “OKAY OKAY, you’re the best brother in the world and I’m a terrible stink butt” and only THEN he gives you your half of the cookie?
Yeah that’s what this reminds me of.
Christian number 239 seeming to assume that I am a lonely, sad person with no meaning in life because I am an atheist.
Most Jehovah’s Witnesses are similar to run of the mill Christians, only they’re much more strict. Depending on the clan, some believe that the rapture has already happened and that there are a limited amount of spaces in heaven, so they have to be extra holy and good to get in.
They don’t celebrate holidays at all because cerebrating holidays are akin to worshiping anything other than god (and worshiping anything other than god is a sin). For example, Birthdays would be worshiping the person who’s birthday it is, and Easter would be worshiping the resurrection rather than the god.
Since there’s only a limited amount of spaces in the kingdom of heaven (144,000 i believe), associating with anyone who may not get one of those spots can also be a no-no. Allegedly everyone can experience an afterlife, but you want to be one of the 144,000. This is why some JW clans ignore people when in public. Only a select few people are “allowed” to socialize with others not in the clan.
By doing something sinful, someone can be disfellowed. This means they’re kicked out of the clan and are shunned like everyone else. The actions of an individual can get a whole nuclear family disfellowed simply by association.
This religion is essentially a cult in my opinion, especially the really strict clans.
I hope I answered your question, though you should probably do some research of your own on this topic since (as the very upset JWs in my ask box are saying) this is based mostly on my own experiences.

Wait, I thought god was all powerful and perfect? How could he have missed one, let alone not know if he missed one or not and have to seek clarification by a mortal?
